Do the auto stores carry a high grade of Transmission oil ?

Does Autozone or Advance or napa carry a better or higher grade of standard transmission oil ?

I am not talking about regular T Oil.

OR,

Do they have additives for standard over the counter transmission oil ?

Reson why: I am having shifting problems(1987 Buick-3,8 L eng-automatic) and plan on changing existings T Oil.

I was told that may correct my problem?

a higher grade would be like a ';max life'; oil.

yes you can also buy additives.

i suggest from personal use, i would go to napa. they have the best.

FYI if you are having problems changing fluid can make worse, especially if the fluid is very burnt. and AFT+4 is for mainly Chrysler productsDo the auto stores carry a high grade of Transmission oil ?
They might have royal purple or trickshift fluid.

It is not worth the extra money.

Change or clean the filter and flush the fluid.

I do not mean drain and refill-have it flushed.
Yes, your vehicle calls for Valvoline ATF +4. It is a higher grade.
