Can anyone tell me how to change the transmission oil in my 1998 chevy cavalier?

The proper way would be to remove the transmission pan from below the transmission. It would also be a VERY GOOD idea to install a new transmission filter while the pan is removed. It can be a messy job so if there is a dependable transmission shop in your area take it there or call them and get an estimate. Or maybe your local Chevy dealer is having a special on transmission services, call them and get an estimate. If you do it yourself just get a transmission filter kit and a new transmission pan seal. And, of course, some transmission fluid! Hope this helps. Can anyone tell me how to change the transmission oil in my 1998 chevy cavalier?
i really wouldn't recommend you do it your self if you don't like to get your hands dirty...if you don't mind first put on a good pair of gloves, let the car cool off get a bucket and a wrench and under the car there is a cap that is twist-able usually in the front/middle of the car. put the bucket under the car and slowly twist off the cap but keep a distance because the oil can still be hot and can be harmful it made contact with eyes.
