Where is the Transmission oil go?

Ok so I i have 1995 VW Jetta III.

Few things I need to know.

Where does the Transmission oil/fluid go and how to check how much there is left?

Is there like a site that shows it in Pictures or something because I can't find it in the manual.Where is the Transmission oil go?
Manual transmission don't have a easy nor convenient way to check or fill the oil. This pretty much universal.

Automatics have a dip stick (usually much longer than engine oil dipsticks). You fill the transmission oil using the dip stick tube. YES dip stick tube.

BUT I own a 2000 Audi A4 (auto) and this car had NO automatic tranny dip stick. It is sealed. The manual says ';oil is good for the life of the engine';. Then recently they ';clarified'; the life of the engine is 100K miles !!! What are they nuts !!

The VW Jetta and Audi A4 are very similar. But yours is 95. I would go buy a cheap repair manual if I was you. You can easily screw things up on the VW/Audi (they are complex beyond necessity).

Good Luck.Where is the Transmission oil go?
sorry it is a sealed tramnsission, and with out special tool you cant. You can get to it under the car but its best to take it to a VW specialist. google it and you can find were it is, but it is not worth the time.
what type manual do you have? Go to advanced auto and look in the manuals there, there will be a diagram. if not, it may be that it's ';supposed'; to be a dealer only serviced item so they don't want to tell you.

You'll be looking for a Chilton's shop manual. They also have them at the public library.

I did find one website that said it's a plug on the side of the transmission underneath the car. Try that.
there should be a yellow dip stick that is in your engine. you pull that out, wipe it off and put it back in. take it out and check where the oil level is. as far as putting in the oil there should be a spot on your engine that you can open, it should even say oil on it. good luck
