Where exactly the automatic Transmission oil filter in my 2002 Hyundai Elantra GLS?

The Transmission got oil pan on the side toward the engine fan not at the bottom like any other auto transmission.Where exactly the automatic Transmission oil filter in my 2002 Hyundai Elantra GLS?
Your vehicle actually has 2 trans filters. One is inside the pan which is mounted vertically. The other is a spin on type filter that is located on top of the trans case. The set up of your trans pan is not unusual, several other foreign cars (i.e. Mitsubishi) have this.Where exactly the automatic Transmission oil filter in my 2002 Hyundai Elantra GLS?
Your transmission filter is a long life filter and is located between the transmission case and the converter housing. It is a very involved process to have to get that filter out. The car does not have a bottom oil pan for the tranny. It may be accessible through the valve body pan on the side but I am not 100% sure about that last part.

Only some Elantras have the 2 filter set up. in Canada they were from 00-01 model years. After that it was deleted from production.
well that will be a first for me... oil pan most are on the bottom of the transmisson so if you have a pan on the side winders how it holds oil but i guess that it... all the ones ive seen and removed have been about a foot square and on the bottom
the filter for most automatic transmissions is in the transmission oilpan, which is located on the bottom of the transmission.
