You must not have had the oil below the pump because you would have noticed it slipping. The volume of fluid in the transmission to mainly to keep it cool. Remove the dipstick %26amp; smell the fluid. If it smells burnt, then have your transmission flushed, install a new filter %26amp; refill with fresh oil.
