It must be on a lift and there is a bolt in the back of the tranny that can be removed and it is checked there. These are condidered sealed systems meant to be check only at the dealers. Good luck. How can i determine the level of transmission oil on my chevrolet cavalier sedan?
Yeah, it has a level plug instead, it is located on the right side of the car on the transmission case just ahead of the drive axle, you need a 7/16 wrench to get it out. The fill plug is a red plastic one located on top of the transmission on the left side of the car near the battery and the air box, it is down in there a bit and it is super annoying to get out especially with a hot car. First take the car for a drive to warm up the tranny fluid (always check level hot) then leave the car idling in park and remove the level plug, put a drip pan under it and pour ATF in the fill plug till it drips out the level plug. Sorry but that is just how they are! good luck!
you have to take it to the garage to have it checked. i hate cars with no dip sticks.
