How much should it cost to repair a hole in the bottom of the transmission/oil (?) pan of a 2007 Chevy Cobalt?

I thought it was the oil pan, but they are trying to tell me it was the transmission. It sure looked like oil coming out to me.How much should it cost to repair a hole in the bottom of the transmission/oil (?) pan of a 2007 Chevy Cobalt?
these are normally aluminum(cast) and normally crack when hit(I'm assuming you've hit something,if not it should be under your 3year,36k factory warranty(possibly under the 100k portion).if it s got a clean hole in it you may be able to use jb weld on smaller holes otherwise figure apx 400.00 to replace(trans fluid and oil look very similar(if clean))How much should it cost to repair a hole in the bottom of the transmission/oil (?) pan of a 2007 Chevy Cobalt?
If you want to repair it properly..take it off, clean it up and take to a welding shop and have it brazed. It can be expensive, but...it's either that or have it replaced entirely which might be cheaper and it is definately easier.
well depends on how big and what you use to fix it anywhere from $50-$415
It's not repairable - buy a new tranny pan.
If the pan is removable. Just be done with it and replace it.
if there is a hole it is cheaper to have it welded.. about under 30dollars. ok.
